It's no secret that the app economy is huge. And now we are beginnig to see signs of the next evolution in the app economy being PC apps.
Truly, "apps" is just short for applications so we always had those on our computers. The mobile generation of apps that came along with the smartphone boom (largely fueled by the iPhone) enabled us to carry around modular bits of data. Mobile apps are small and connect us directly to a product, service and even
There's just one more problem with PC apps: they are a bear to manage. You have to go to the start menu and if the app isn't one you used frequently enough to be in the main start menu, you have to search for the app in a larger list. Unless you keep everything on your desktop--which can become a cluttered CPU eyesore--you'd be surprised at the amount of time, just looking for the right app can suck up.
Enter Smish, a free software download that will "smish" together all your PC apps in one place. It's effectively streamlines and integrates your desktop and internet functions and provides a platform for managing the increasing amount of content and tools.
So all those great apps meant to make your life easier? Smish is the app to manage your apps. Check out this short video and sign up to be notified for the beta launch of Smish.

This sounds like an interesting concept. It should be interesting to see what they end up with in their app gallery on the Smish website. Even a small program that could group similar programs based on their function would be useful - like all design programs accessible from one page and all word formatting apps accessible from another page could be handy.

One thing that users complain about when it comes to apps is that they can't edit them without the assistance of a developer. It disallows them fro making their desired modifications on their own.
