Who's always had an easy time coming up with new passwords? Ok, I see lots of hands raised.
Who's always had an easy time coming up with great passwords? Oh before you count yourself in as one of the great password thinkers (what do you call someone who's good in making great passwords?), you might want to know what exactly are the criteria in judging whether a password is a lame one or is one that deserves an award.
So here are what makes a password good:
- No one can break it or can easily break it
- You can remember it easily
I know not many of us are gifted enough to come up with great password ideas. Those are two tough points, no?
What's the fuss? Why do you need good passwords? You need good, secure passwords simply because you don't want to suffer from headaches when someone hacks your account because you were too lazy to think of a secure password.
Now let's get to the point. Want some good password ideas?
For short PINs or personal identification numbers, don't use only one person's birth date. They're too easy to crack. I suggest these sources of PIN ideas:
- combination of death dates of two people
- a combination of two family member's initials equivalent in numbers A-1 B-2 C-3
- a combination of your grandparents' (both sides) anniversary dates
For alphanumeric pass codes, combine two dates and names and jumble the letters and numbers - say if your birthday is March 23 and your initials are MC. Add in the birthday of someone not too many people you know know but you will definitely not forget - say your bad boy of an ex-boyfriend, say his birthday's April 26 and his initials are JD. So you create something like DJ04CM26 or make up another arrangement.
Many are not fond of too random passwords simply because they're hard to recall. I'm sure a little creativity will do so that you don't have to force yourself to remember passwords that don't make sense to you. So those are my best password ideas. I hope you find them helpful.
But what if you're able to create some secure enough passwords but you still keep on forgetting them? I've read about online tools that let you securely save your passwords aka password managers like KeePass Password Safe.

2) one of the best sources for passwords are vehicle license plates -- the specialty or vanity plates like "LOV2ROK" or
3) never change your password on a Friday before you leave the office better on a Monday afternoon
Hope this is helpful!
