IF you're a fan of the concept - "Hard work pay-offs over time, but laziness pays off now.", you'll be nodding at this productivity advice I've heard from a friend.
Some of the most well known people invented useful devices. Most of them want to make manual work easier. These inventors sometimes have been very lazy at their own times. But to tell you, their laziness paid off.
One of them is Henry Ford. As a boy, he never stopped thinking about something that would shut the wagon’s gate even without getting off of it. Well that’s kind of lazy right? It’s just a very simple task but still Henry Ford discovered a device that would accomplish that task.
Then years later, Henry Ford had his own company, he noticed that the workers are having a hard time getting parts for their work. He also observed that this could waste their time, so out of it, he invented a feeder device. Well the work was pretty easier than before. Surprisingly, sometimes, thinking lazy can actually help one come up with something useful.
Many people would think that life is very unfair. Even if they are really trying to work very hard, still they don’t reap the rewards they are supposed to get. Well to tell you life is not really unfair at all. It just simply prefers those individuals who make use of their energy efficiently.
So try to ask yourself “ When I do something, is there any lazier way for the task?”. Watch for some lazy ways and you’ll see that sometimes it will do you good.
Do you agree with this way of making the most out of this frowned upon trait called laziness?
