If you're into inexpensive antique furnitures and simplicity, you'll probably love this home office. "Inexpensive" and "antique" don't often come together in one sentence but this shabby chic office made this one once-in-a-blue-moon moment possible.
This is the office of a writer/publisher/educational consultant who also happens to be an active Flickr groups admin.
The piece that I love the most in this workspace is the chair, which the owner has gotten for free! The folder holder on the corner makes all those documents neatly organized but easy to grab. The typewriter table was also an attractive accent piece, don't you think? Matching the typewriter table's rustic beauty and color is the industrial toolbox sitting on the corner of the desk. Oh and guess for how much the desk was bought.

So how do you make your office look like this? Nothing that your grandma doesn't know about. Flea markets and yard sales will be great venues for finding cheap office furnitures that would help you come up with a refreshing shabby chic feel. Another usual advice that interior design pros will give is to forget about the usual purpose of an item/furniture. An example here is the toolbox which was made into a bookshelf.
