This morning, frustration almost killed my day when I can't find a way to use a popular online collaboration tool in exchanging comments, putting on-screen annotations, and recording notes about a mock design. Can you guess which online collaboration service, which is supposed to be an all-in-one tool, is this?
Good thing, with the help of its mother company, I discovered one nifty online design collaboration tool called ConceptShare.
It's my first time to use this type of project management application that allows visual designs to be critiqued by different team members. One of my criteria in deciding whether a tool is worthy of being mentioned is if it didn't give me a headache while signing up for an account. ConceptShare's sign up process was
a breeze. In a matter of seconds, I and the client were already successfully adding notes. However, since it's flash-based, the Workspace loads too slow. Or should I blame my broadband connection?
SmashingMagazine mentioned other uses of this online collaboration tool for creative professionals - business card design review, logo design review, art direction and photo retouching, architecture, GUI design, and industrial design. I'm thinking that it'll be useful for fashion designers as well.
Another plus is its free version. ConceptShare allows one active workspace for those who want to try it first. Its paid versions range from $19 to $199 per month. Check out its features.
If you're looking for other visual collaboration alternatives, any of these - Review Basics, Protonotes, GE's Imagination Cubed and Octopz might do the trick for you. After crunch time, I'll try more of these.

Hi Alfa,
Thank you for mentioning ReviewBasics.
Sincerly,
