The holidays should be a time for relaxation. But for many, especially those with big reunions to attend, it can be the opposite.
Although I know that this is not something new, I'd like to remind you that your stress reliever may be just right beside you waiting for some rub - your canine buddy! Of course, this depends if your pet is well-trained because a dog that's not yet housebroken can send your stress levels into sky high than help you relieve it.
One of my goals next year is to get myself a pet, particularly a high-maintenance chihuahua. Nope, Paris Hilton was never an icon to me. I have always just dreamt of having one lovely chihuahua beside me at home while working and while roaming the streets of my neighborhood.
Do you have a dog? What breed is it? Can you remember the times when it has helped you get through one hell of a day?
Check out this interesting news about a special day for employees with dogs, "Take Your Dog to Work Day", an initiative sponsored by Pet Sitters International.

Many days, when the kids are at school and my DH is at work, my dog is my only companion. She is a mixed breed, rescued from the S.P.C.A. - and she is the best dog that I've ever had. She has some terrier in her. She's small, about 15 pounds. I love the she barks when someone is at the door, but otherwise is very quiet. In fact, we tease that she is our "doorbell."
