
In 1928, when the Warwick Hotel was built in Philadelphia, PA, any news coming from the hotel to the outside world had a built-in time delay; breaking new was broken long before it could be public.

Seventy-nine years later, I'm sitting in the Ball Room of the same hotel at the BlogPhiladelphia unconference, writing this on my lap. It's a little before 11:40 am; this info will be on your computer as fast as I can hit the publish button.
It's 2007 and communication from the Warwick is now courtesy the magic of WI-FI.
I won't be live-blogging too much throughout these two days of the conference, but I wanted to give you a quick (and almost live) idea of the productive possibilities we have now, literally at our fingertips.
