It's the first of the month and there are blogs waiting to be tipped. This month, I'm veering away from the usual tips. This month, all I'm going to do is talk about
what I see as three great things about each blog. It's my mood today.
This month's list is a reminder to me as well as a shout out to the bloggers; I don't visit these writers anywhere near as often as I could and/or should.
FIRST: Design Your Writing Life, Lisa Gates
1) As the name would imply, Lisa fills Design Your Writing Life with tips to help any writer, no matter the type of writing.
2) In each of her posts, Lisa has a way of making me feel comfortable, knowing that she knows what she's talking about.
3) Something that made me smile: as a coach, she offers a kick in the pants to bring our projects to life.
SECOND: Carma Dutra's Carma's Window
1) Carma's Window used to use an antique parchment template. It was nice enough; I used it myself for a time. But now! The clean, white template is wonderful!
2) I can't say this any better than Carma does in her 'about' statement: she's all about clear, simple communication. It shows.
3) If anyone needs an excuse to take a peak at Carma's Window, here it is: the Writing Tip of the Day. It's a little bit affirmation and a little bit inspiration.
THIRD: Wishful Thinking with Mark McGuinness
1) Mark is a poet and a business coach. To say the least, this is quite the interesting combination and he wears it well.
2) It only takes a quick look through the list of categories to realize that Wishful Thinking is geared toward satisfying the business curiosity of the creative muse.
3) There's nothing wishful about Mark's obvious willingness to help individuals and businesses get and stay happily started.

Carolyn, I'm blushing, but I like the color red, so...
Thanks for tipping your hat to my friend Carma too. I agree her site looks much cleaner and slicker and simple. And the beautifully prolific and talented Mark Goodyear always masterfully spins his posts.
What great company.
