"You can’t just sit around and sulk, feeling there is more that should be happening in your life, you have to do something to make the change come about. Open yourself up to the possibilities of new paths and channels to show themselves to you." --Dave, You Play an Active Role in Making Money Come to You, RichGuyTips.com
Years ago, a man by name of Ralph Hitz found himself in charge of The New Yorker when the hotel was in some very tough times. Young Hitz, inexperienced, probably spoke to the Universe, too. But, having no time to sit, he found the answer he needed to find the mannah and to breathe new life into the The New Yorker.
The answer he was given was based on human nature; he knew that people love attention and he treated his guests with the attention they deserved. The result of him giving those guests more than what they paid for was a complete turnaround for the hotel.
"He took over a white elephant, an albatross and a dud . . . Not long after, The New Yorker was the largest and most profitable hotel in the world . . . Simply, bluntly, he said: 'We contact the hell out of them'." --Mike Sigers, "We Contact the Hell Out Of Them, SimplenomicsWe all deal with white elephants, albatrosses, and duds from time to time; the trick to dealing with them is to understand what they are. Ask for help and it will come. The answers we get can come from anywhere.
The biggest thing we're building and selling is ourselves. Our projects might not be as big as transforming The New Yorker, yet; who knows what will happen if we keep reading the right answers.

Carolyn, I love your story about the New Yorker hotel. Serving our customers the way they want to be served almost always helps provide the right answer for business success. Thanks for sharing that thought. You rock!
