Sunday seems to be a good day for tips that are short and sweet. Nothing heavy with these tips; just a few things we often overlook; things that, in the long run, make for optimum productivity.

Admittedly, it's been a long time since I saw Fiddler on the Roof, but one scene always stood out. If memory serves, Tevye (the father) was sitting on the roof, talking to himself, trying to answer one of the problems in his life. Over and over, Tevye would say, "on the other hand . . . on the other hand . . . on the other hand . . ."
That's what a lot of us do all the time. We over-think things until, by the time we get to the last "on the other hand", we've counted way too many hands and opened the door for confusion to reign.
When Alan Lim published his "10 tips of success" in Simply Successful Secrets - Meme at Life beside the edge, not thinking too much was first on his list.
"Do not try to think too much - People tend to think too much, too detail when they face problem. Maybe the problem is not too serious, but after too much of think then become complicated & difficult to solve. So, for me, I will treat all the problem as simple easy problem, and I can easily solve all of them." --Alan Lim
Think about it (no pun intended). Making a mountain out of a mole hill can add too many unnecessary variables and that's just as bad as jumping in head first without thinking at all. Neither is a strategy for success.

Carolyn,
Thanks for this tip! Today I practiced it and felt so much better ;) On my daily walk I noticed all kinds of things that I never did before because I was thinking too much!
