Did you know that this week (April 23-29) was declared by the Center For Screen-Time Awareness as TV-Turnoff week? Yep, it is. It was off here yesterday, because the electricity went out. Don’t count on for today, though. It can be deafeningly quiet here and I like the background noise when I work.
At any rate, when the electric went back on this morning, the first order of business was to boot the computer and that’s when I found Sharon Sarmiento’s post Going TV-free: Top 10 ways to cope at eSoup.
We certainly can!
It turned out to be a fine afternoon and evening. Some sorting through thoughts and some list-making. A little filing and organizing the desk. Candles and conversation with my sister and niece. Reading by flashlight.
It wasn’t routine, but maybe that’s what made it productive.
