Quite honestly, I wanted to let the Don Imus thing go without comment.  It wasn’t that I didn’t have my thoughts; I didn’t want to give to him, to feed into his outrageousness, to attract any more attention to his prejudicial comments.  The man needs no more publicity.  But, well, here I go anyway. 

Don Imus is an unmitigated ass. 

Having the privilege of air time doesn’t give him the privilege to say the unconscionable things he said.  And, on the other hand, if those words were how he felt, let’s be happy he’s off the air. 

But I read that the station has given the slot to his wife!!!  What’s that about?  Gee, do you think husband and wife might share points of view? 

It’s all a smack.  It’s a slap in all of our faces.

For the record, I’m white and little (about 100 pounds), of Polish, Ukranian, English, and Irish descent.  Bunches of slurs live there.  But would Imus make them?  Maybe not.  I’m white.
