Work productivity, time management, organization, tools and tips

Welcome to the new ProductivityGoal.  Some of you know me from my blog, Thoughts & Philosophies.  From what I’ve seen here at Know More Media, it looks like I’ll be meeting many new faces; that’s a comfortable anticipation. 

So, the first order of business is to tell you a bit about myself.  This has always been tough for me.  One of these days, I’ll get used to doing a bio; it’s not today, but the ice must be broken, whether I like bios or not.  My feeling is that we get to know each other through long-term conversation, not through a few hundred words.  It’s also, however, through these few hundred words that the long-term conversations start.  Long live paradox. 

My home is the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania.  Unlike most people from this area, I don’t care for all of the four seasons; winter, snow, and ice are not some of my favorite things.

On the other hand, plants and animals are big in my book.  They’re the magic that is life. 

Like Mark Twain, (one of my favorite authors), I’m very much an autodidact, although formal schooling is definitely in my background.   At Ursinus College (Collegeville, PA; and no, that’s not how the town got its name) I studied a lot of literature and a bit of philosophy.  I’m also an electronics technician.  That was a fun job; troubleshooting pc boards to the component level.  It did a number on my eyes, but I’m happy to have had the opportunity to do it.
