One Question Interview: Martin Neumann
Today is Thursday, time for the One Question Interview. Today's interviewee is Martin Neumann, who has been blogging about small businesses and publishing for over two years.

I'm happy to announce that his blog will be relaunching today! If you want to write, design, package and market quality information products and benefit from Martin's enthusiasm and knowledge about that subject, make sure to subscribe to his blog.  Plus, you could win a prize!

And now, the question:

Martin, what are your three favorite personal productivity techniques/habits/tools?

Claire, let me give you one of each…

1. Techniques – I’m a great user of brainstorming/clustering/mind-mapping techniques. Hands down, Number One productivity hit for me. Anything: a post, a feature, an article, a new business idea … I grab an A3 sized blank paper and let the mind go wild. Later I use the left brain to bring it all together. Works almost every time.

2. Habits – If it wasn’t for my RSS reader (my reader of choice is NewsGator Online) I’d drown in information overload. But I limit myself to 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night. It’s a tough habit to get into because you always want to check out the reader for anything new.

3. Tools – I spend massive amounts of time zipping from site to site, blog to blog researching for future posts. I swear by MyStickies.com as one of the best productivity tools going around. I can leave a Post-It type note on any page I visit with my thoughts on why I’m here. Visiting hundreds of blogs, sites and forums daily you’ll quickly forget why you came to a certain page.

Thanks for the insights, Martin and Claire!

Thank you Claire for the opportunity.

I guess everyone has their own ways so it'll be a good read to see how others get by.

Who's next?

This Martin guy I heard he's really smart and talented. I'm going to have to look him up sometime. I need some book learning.
