How productive can you be with $35? What kind of cool gadget could you buy that would let you whip out the work in double time? Nothing much, here in the land of technology and morebetterfaster. Before you start feeling too sorry for yourself, check out what can be done with 35 bucks, or a couple of chickens, by Third World women (mostly) who receive micro-loans. Be in awe of them.
But even for a micro entrepreneur, it’s not about the 35 bucks. It’s about having a clarity of vision and a focus on getting there. Whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed or pulled in too many directions, stop, breathe and think. Where is your focus? Is it in the spot it’s supposed to be? Don’t know where that is? (subject for a future post…).
Check your goals, your projects list, your job description; whatever tools you use to record the basic, what-am-I-doing-with-my-time information (still another future post). Find your equivalent of “buy 5 chickens” and get back to work.
